Speed Dating, Some Info, and some very special Spies
We had an absolute blast co-hosting another I Like Your Glasses Literary Speed Dating last night at housingworksbookstore. Thanks so much to those who came! We spied some great books, some great readers, and what were hopefully some great first date sparks.
We also had some questions about Literary Speed Dating in other cities! If you’re interested, contact your local CoverSpy chapter and let them know you’d like to have a similar event in your city to get the conversation started.
And now, very special spies
If you were at last night’s event, watch this space to see if you were spied with your book last night! We’ve got an extra special missed connection spy coming up very soon.
To celebrate our first birthday tomorrow, we went through the past year’s worth of posts to find out what books DC was reading most. The results are in, and the most-spotted book was (drumroll please)…
A Dance with Dragons! Spotted 7 times! And that’s all physical books—good job weightlifting, everyone!
Americanah and The Circle, tied at 5 sightings each.
The Goldfinch, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?, Lean In, and Wild, tied at 4 sightings each.
A Clash of Kings, A Game of Thrones, Gone Girl, The Hunger Games, Innocents Abroad, and The Love Affairs of Nathaniel P., tied at 3 sighting each.
With 484 unique books identified—browse them all on our bookshelf and let us know which you’ve enjoyed!
Great job DC spies and DC readers for lugging around such heavy books!
